If you're after a truly vintage-styled Fender instrument, you would be hard-pressed to find one that more demonstrates that vintage vibe than the '52 Flash Coat Tele. This Fender Custom Shop creation features a "flash coat" finish, which features a polyurethane base and nitrocellulose lacquer over the top. This gives it a uniquely "relic'd" look, with plenty of finish checking throughout the body that gives it the look and feel of a true '52 original in addition to various nicks and dings throughout the guitar. Plus, it sounds like an early '50s Tele thanks to its dual hand-wound Loaded '51 Nocaster single-coil pickups, so you can get that iconic Tele twang. The '52 Flash Coat Telecaster also is outfitted with period-correct hardware, such as a three-saddle '51-'54 Telecaster bridge, vintage-style tuners, a black pickguard, and a rock-solid neck. The neck is made of Quartersawn maple, with a Nocaster "U"-shaped profile, 9.5" fingerboard radius, and Sanko 6105 frets for an authentic in-hand feel. Fender Custom Shop has done it again with their '52 Flash Coat Telecaster, a true love letter to the remarkable original that launched Fender to new heights.
